Most of our ‘dry’ ingredients have a shelf life of 1-2 years if stored tightly sealed in a cool, dry location. This represents their optimum period for flavour and potency. After that time, the potency will slowly lessen, however, the product is still usable. Use your senses of smell, sight, and taste to determine when it no longer works for you. The mustards are recommended for 6 months if stored in the refrigerator. They are usually only offered in the summer. The Protein Blends and Super Greens, and Cocai Acai Booster have ‘best before’ dates.
If you are cleaning out your house and you know that spice has been there for 5 years, I say get rid of it. 🙂
